We vampire Maniacs are all familiar with Torrey DeVitto (Meredith) on the hit CW show, Vampire Diaries. Thanks to her video collaboration with PETA, we also know she is not a fan of fur. She is taking matters into her own hands along with her husband (and Vampire Diaries co-star) Paul Wesley and hosting a fashion show for The Humane Society of the United States on September 22. They want to get the word out that there is nothing sexy about fur.
Fashion should be fun and the H-Couture event proves clothes can be animal friendly and still fashion forward. This is the first H-Couture event ever on behalf of the Humane Society of the United States. With designers like Charlotte Ronson and Kimberly Ovitz on the list, it will prove fashion doesn’t have to be cruel and unnecessary to be fabulous. Also attending are Victoria Bartlett, Marc Bouwer and Jon Bartlett confirmed he’ll be showing some designs from his NY Fashion Week Collection.
Animal rights have a huge following not only from designers but also celebrities. Keep your eyes open for celebrity attendees including Jenna Dewan Tatum, Moby, Sharon Osbourne, Brooke Lyons, Kat Graham (Vampire Diaries co-star), Arielle Kebbel, Kelly Overton, Taylor Spreitter, Fiona Gubelmann, Chaz Dean, Charlotte Ross, Joanna Krupa, Owain Yeoman and many more to be announced.
